Kate Elizabeth Voegele (/ˈvoʊ.ɡəl/; born December 8, 1986) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She made her musical debut in 2003, with the release of her The Other Side extended play. She performed numerous local live shows to promote the album, and toured with artists such as John Mayer. In 2005, she released her second extended play, Louder Than Words. Both had local success, and helped raise awareness of Voegele as an artist. During this time period, Voegele performed at events such as Farm Aid to promote her music, and began posting her music on popular social media network MySpace. She also won numerous awards and honors for her songwriting abilities.
Voegele officially signed with Interscope Records in 2006, and immediately began working on her official debut album. Her first studio album, Don't Look Away, was released in 2007 to generally positive reviews. The album became her first to chart on the Billboard 200, and was re-released numerous times since its release. It spawned two singles, one of which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. While promoting this album, Voegele began appearing as Mia Catalano in the television series One Tree Hill. This made her acting debut, and helped promote her music. She would remain a recurring cast member for four seasons, lasting until 2011.
"Lift Me Up" is a song by the progressive rock band Yes. It was the first single released from their 1991 "reunion" album Union. It reached the number-one spot on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart in May 1991, and stayed at the top for six weeks. It also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, their last single to do so.
Following Yes's 1987–88 tour to support the Big Generator album, singer Jon Anderson left the band and formed a new group with 1970s-era Yes members Steve Howe (guitars), Rick Wakeman (keyboards) and Bill Bruford (drums). As their new band Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe, the quartet released a self-titled album and went on tour.
Meanwhile, the remaining members of the "official" Yes, guitarist Trevor Rabin, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Alan White and keyboardist Tony Kaye, continued work on a follow-up to Big Generator. Among the songs recorded was the Rabin- and Squire-penned "Lift Me Up", the lyrics of which allude to homelessness:
The two competing bands had fought for the rights to use the "Yes" name, with the Squire/Rabin/White/Kaye faction filing suit to prevent Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe from using the name "Yes" during their tour promotion. However, once both factions were signed to Arista Records, the record label decided to combine the musicians' efforts and produce an album, Union, featuring songs from each group. "Lift Me Up" was one of four Rabin or Squire songs included on the album; its follow-up single, "Saving My Heart", was another.
Lift Me Up is a song by Russian singer-songwriter Lena Katina taken from her debut studio album This Is Who I Am and released as its second single. The song was written by Lena, Jasmine Ash and Jacques Brautbar, who also produced it. A Spanish version for the song called "Levantame" was released in the same day. A remixes EP was also released and the songs peaked at 31 on Billboard Dance Hot Club Songs.
"Lift Me Up" is a promo single from singer/songwriter Kate Voegele's second studio album, A Fine Mess. This single, and the rest of her album, is produced by Mike Elizondo, who has worked with the likes of P!nk and Maroon 5. The song was included in 2008 on the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games soundtrack, sponsored by AT&T.

Kate is a feminine given name and nickname. It is a short form of multiple feminine names, most notably Katherine but also Caitlin and others.
Katherine Anne "Kate" Austen is a fictional character on the ABC television series Lost, played by Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly. Before the pilot was shot during the writing phase, Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox) died when the group finds the cockpit and Kate was to emerge as the leader for the survivors, motivating them to build shelter and begin considering life as permanent residents of the island, however when it was decided he should survive, she was a second-in-command. In this original description for Kate, she was a slightly older woman separated from her husband, who went to the bathroom in the tail-section of the plane. However, that idea ended up being used for Rose Henderson (L. Scott Caldwell) and her husband Bernard Nadler (Sam Anderson). Kate is involved in a love triangle with Jack and Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and is seen as very protective of Claire (Emilie de Ravin) and her baby Aaron.
Born in 1977 and raised in Iowa, Kate is the daughter of diner worker Diane (Beth Broderick), and Sam (Lindsey Ginter), a U.S. Army Ranger and Gulf War Veteran. At an early age Kate's parents divorced, and Diane married an abusive alcoholic named Wayne Janssen (James Horan). As an adult, Kate killed Wayne, which she confessed to her mother before disappearing. Wayne had always been abusive to her mother, but Kate decided to kill him upon learning that he was her biological father. Diane called the authorities; thereafter Kate is pursued and ultimately arrested by Edward Mars (Fredric Lehne).
Kate is a British drama television series which originally aired on ITV in 38 episodes between 6 January 1970 and 29 November 1972. It starred Phyllis Calvert in the role of an agony aunt who becomes personally drawn into the problems of the people who send letters to her. It was made by Yorkshire Television.
I think about how
To finally overcome my fears
And I, I think about it all the time
You should know that I
Have tried everything I can
But I, I can't do it all tonight
And there's a part of me that wants to forget certainty
It never got me anywhere
And I don't mean to be doubting your sincerity
But, oh, this has been a careful girl's nightmare
I know you gave me the time I need
But baby it would mean everything
If you'd listen and not give up just yet
It's just that
It scares me that
I care about you
That I can't go a day without you
Oh baby can you show me how to let go?
I just want to feel this heart
Finally I'll be free to start
Out with you on a new road
Why am I afraid to know?
It's so much easier to keep myself from feeling what I
But I just can't anymore
And I am terrified of loving someone unpredictable as
But my foot is in the door, yeah
It isn't that my heart's not in it
In fact it's quite the opposite
and it's getting the best of me, oh
but I'll try, I'll try not to let it
It's just that
It scares me that
I care about you
That I can't go a day without you
Oh baby can you show me how to let go?
I just want to feel this heart
Finally I'll be free to start
Out with you on a new road
Why am I afraid to know?
There's something that I want
But I'm afraid to know just what
Oh, I'm afraid to know just what, oh yeah
I love you but it's just
I'm afraid to know how much
I'm afraid to know how much, oh
It scares me that
I care about you
That I can't go a day without you
Oh baby can you show me how to let go?
I just want to feel this heart
Finally I'll be free to start
Out with you on a new road
Why am I afraid to know?
Why am I afraid to know?
